Description
East London NHS Foundation Trust currently provides mental health and learning disability services in Luton and Bedfordshire.

Luton and Bedfordshire Acute Mental Health Wards provide care and treatment to adults with serious mental health problems across six inpatient wards, and are located across Luton and Bedfordshire.

We have vacancies on our adult wards at Calnwood Court (Jade Ward and Coral Ward) for the role of Life Skills Recovery Worker.

As a Life Skills Recovery Worker your role will be to co-ordinate a programme of groups and activities on the ward to promote social interaction and engagement as part of the therapeutic endeavour with patients during their time in hospital focusing primarily on their recovery as human beings rather than someone with a diagnosis and symptoms.

You will be a caring and compassionate person, able to communicate and engage with adults who are experiencing acute mental health problems.

Your focus will be on the recovery of patients and improving the patient experience.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve

Our values are:
We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations

Please kindly refer to the job description and person specification attached to this vacancy or get in contact with us.
