Newport or Cardiff Office with Agile once trained
Salary:£40,000 - £45,000 depending one experience

What will you be doing?

  • As the Enterprise Risk Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading the second line oversight approach for operational risk (excluding IT Risk).
  • With the support of the Head of Enterprise Risk (HoER), continue to enhance operational risk awareness and capability amongst senior management and the Board.
  • Lead efforts to improve risk competency and capability across the Society through partnering relationships, focusing on the Risk Champion community.
  • Enhancing the quality and ongoing development of monthend second line risk reporting from the Society's risk management system.
  • Supporting the development of second line operational risk reporting and ongoing assessment and challenge of first line reporting and metrics.
  • Driving improvement in the quality of departmental risk registers through targeted support including workshops.
  • Driving awareness and providing operational risk training at all levels of the Society.
  • Supporting oversight of the Society's Controls Assurance Testing (CAT) regime and action tracking through periodic sample testing.
  • Lead thematic risk reviews of priority areas.

What type of person will you need to be?- You'll have proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to defend your position with senior stakeholders. You'll be driven to identify the root cause of issues and agree actions to prevent incidents from reoccurring.
