    Role overview

    We are looking to hire a curious and inquisitive Operations Intern to support the successful running of all parts of our consultancy business. You will have experience with Excel or Google Sheets, ideally in an office setting, and demonstrate good organisation, communication, and collaboration skills. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience of our operational and financial functions and systems. Additionally, this role offers access to the broader company, fostering opportunities for growth and professional development.

    The team

    At WGSN we have a high performing Consultancy team, WGSN Mindset, made up of Researchers, Strategists, Consultants, Directors and Data Analysts who work hard to deliver highly strategic, creative and actionable bespoke trend research to our clients.

    Key accountabilities

    Support the Operations Manager to ensure our consultancy division's commercial and financial processes are effective and accurate, via the following:

  • Creation and maintenance of freelancer contracts
  • Maintaining and updating the cost tracking system regularly
  • Coordinating the invoicing process of project expenses recharged our clients
  • Ensuring the accurate scheduling of freelancers and design resources on team planners
  • Monitoring accounts payable activities to ensure timely payment processing
  • Assisting consultants in maintaining accurate and up-to-date timesheets
  • Facilitating the setup of projects on our project management platform
  • Maintaining and updating Smartsheet Workspaces
  • This list is not exhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to deliver.

    Skills, experience & qualifications required

  • Experience with Google Sheets or Excel, preferably within an office environment
  • Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team
  • Excellent with time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
  • Good analytical skills and writing ability
  • Technical skills: Google Sheets/ MS Excel, Slack, awareness or experience of Smartsheets would be a plus
