Part Time Accounts Assistant

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established Manufacturing business based in Middleton. Currently seeking a Part Time Accounts Assistant to support their busy finance team. This role offers flexible hours/days to fit around your personal life.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Payment allocations
  • General accounting duties
  • Bank reconciliations
  • BACS Payments
  • Producing and Processing Journals
  • Invoice processing
  • Provide support to Credit Control
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers, customers and employees
  • General Financial Tasks
  • Receiving Invoices/ Credit notes
  • Coding Invoices and passing for authorising
  • Loading invoices and credit notes on to purchase ledger
  • Pass invoices when they have been coded on purchase ledger
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • General Financial Tasks
  • Sending out copy invoices when necessary
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payroll administration (adventagous)
- including processing holiday, sick and maternity/paternity pay and expenses, calculating overtime, shift payments and pay increases


The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience within a similar role
  • SAGE experience (advantageous)
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly EXCEL
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
