Job summary
INTERNAL ONLY
An opportunity has become available for a Sister/Charge Nurse within the Paediatric Emergency Department within the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
You will work closely along side the Adult Emergency Department and provide strong leadership, co-ordination and team work skills.
Main duties of the job
You will need significant A&E paediatric experience which includes experience at Senior Staff Nurse Level. Be dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic with a very high standard of clinical practice.
You will need to be educated to degree level.
A proven track record with evidence of having excellent communication, leadership, team building skills and management of change.
The candidate will have a global understanding of health delivery and the implications for Emergency pathway development.

The post-holder works as an expert practitioner and is responsible for thedelivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complexand changing health and well-being needs of the client group in his/herclinical area.
The post-holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills, andis responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team for whichhe/she is responsible.
He/she is also responsible for standards of cleanliness in the clinical areaand for a well-maintained Department environment. The Band 7 is a budget holder and authorised signatory for financial and physical resources.
