    Job Description

    GE Vernova is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Tendering Sales Application Engineer to join our team in Rugby, UK. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pre-sales process by assessing customer needs, developing technical solutions, and collaborating with various teams to win bids.

    In this role you will focus on:

    • Analysing customer requirements and scoping technical solutions for custom projects (CMUs)
    • Developing technical proposals, bills of materials, and risk assessments in collaboration with Sales and Engineering
    • Providing technical expertise to the commercial team for bid preparation and negotiations
    • Collaborating with internal teams to identify feasible and optimal solutions
    • Managing technical risks and developing mitigation plans
    • Reviewing and commenting on customer requirements and ensuring alignment with proposals
    • Participating in customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

    We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:

    • A relevant degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
    • Commercial experience in application engineering tendering, preferably in: Offshore, Naval, or Industrial sectors
    • Experience with application engineering tools (e.g., Salesforce, OCS)
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to manage risks and think strategically
    • Focus, diligence, and meticulous work ethic
    • Growth mindset.

    What will make you stand out:

    • Previous experience in writing technical quotations
    • Solid understanding of automation, PLCs, medium and high voltage drives, or power systems
    • Valid UK driver's license
    • Experience using Microsoft Visio
