    Description

    The Opportunity:

    You will develop and implement experiment(s) examining neuro-physiological responses to EU belonging, through original research, experimental design, implementation, and analysis, conducting surveys using Academic Prolific, using Imotions biometric software for neurophysiological research, and implementing Bayesian and frequentist analyses.

    This post is fixed term for 12 months from September 2024 to August 2025

    This post is full-time (35 hours per week), and requires regular lab-based working.

    Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A PhD (or equivalent training and work experience) in a relevant social science with training or skills relevant to the project on neurophysiology of European identity.
  • Demonstrable post-doctoral or equivalent work experience, particularly critical engagement in conceptual and theoretical work on the underlying psychological drivers of European belonging.
  • Relevant postdoctoral experience (or equivalent work experience) of conducting online surveys and survey experiments using Academic Prolific, and of developing, implementing and analysing lab-based experiments using Imotions biometric software for neurophysiological research.
  • Excellent statistical skills and ability to implement both Bayesian and frequentist analyses.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake international travel for purpose of project meetings, workshops and dissemination
