The Best Connection Bedford are recruiting for Vehicle Fitters for our prestigious client based in Central Bedfordshire.This is an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding career in bespoke automotive installations, training is provided for the right candidates and we are welcoming applications with backgrounds in electrical installation and able to follow build and installation instructions.

Hours and pay rate
The standard pay rate is £11.50 per hour working 07.00 hrs hrs Monday to Thursday and then 07.00 hrs hrs on Friday.
Overtime rate of £15.00 per hour is paid after normal working hours from 16.00 hrs Monday-Thursday and on Fridays from 13.00 hrs subject to availability.
Responsibilities of the Vehicle Fitter
Follow written and verbal build instructions to remove parts from brand new vehicles, install lighting and bespoke modifications to required timescale.
Install and test electrical circuitry to ensure that lighting, alarms and warning light features operate safely
Complete all vehicle checks and work with QC team to report any faults.
Remove and replace all vehicle parts safely and cleanly
Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Carry out all duties in a positive and helpful manner and assist colleagues when required.
Requirements of the Vehicle Fitter
Auto-electrical experience an advantage, NVQ level 2/3 in a relevant qualification (or proven automotive electrical experience)
Ability to follow vehicle manufacturers/ technician instructions to accurately install modifications
Be able to follow build instructions accurately and take notes for installations carried out.
Be able to crimp automotive connections(training provided if required)
Interest and or in the motor vehicle trade, or related trades such as carpentry and electrical installation.
Ability to use hand tools/work shop equipment as required.
Full training for all processes will be offered for successful candidates.
