    Job Purpose

    We are looking for a Lab Technician to join our team. This role will involve working closely with production (Mixing, Coating and Conversion) to ensure all products manufactured meet the highest standards of quality.

    Job Responsibilities

    Our lab works on a system of three rotating shifts, incorporating early, late and night shifts from Monday through to Friday.
    • Provide information and analysis to the production teams regarding the quality of the product and process.
    • To test and approve for use or sale, raw materials, mixed, coated and converted product as defined within the product specifications.
    • Identify and report internal non-conformance events, to ensure the appropriate immediate action is taken e.g. product containment.
    • Develop product tests and ensure best practice is applied and maintained.
    • Track & analyse product and process performance trends.
    • Review quality, customer and performance issues with the quality/ manufacturing teams and recommend improvements.
    • Assist in production problem solving and customer complaint issues.
    • To ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained and any deviations reported immediately.
    Requirements
    • Experience working in a Manufacturing/QC environment or a scientific laboratory.
    • GCSE or A Level in a science-based subject is desirable but not essential.
    Skills
    • Analytical skills.
    • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong computer skills, experience of SAP an advantage.
