    About the Role
    We currently have two vacancies for a Class Teacher. ECT's are welcome to apply. The post holder will be required to exercise his/her professional skills and judgement as detailed in the School Teachers Pay & Conditions Document, to carry out the professional duties detailed. Job description and duties Teachers are bound by the responsibilities outlined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document. This job description reflects the statutory terms and conditions of the current School Teachers' Pay and Conditions document.

    In addition, every teacher must demonstrate that they can consistently meet the Teachers' standards as outlined by the DFE.

    In addition to carrying out the professional duties of a teacher, the teacher will:

    • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of Sudley Primary School both inside and outside the classroom;
    • Be a consistent classroom practitioner who demonstrates high standards of excellence;
    • Deliver good or better creative, engaging lessons for all children;
    • Have professional knowledge and understanding of the KS1/KS2 Curriculum and understand the phases within a primary school;
    • Have successful curriculum management experience;
    • Provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils;
    • Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet the varying learning and social needs of children, including providing challenge;
    • eep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into planning;
    • Understand quality in educational provision and strategies for raising pupil attainment;
    • Have an awareness of current educational issues, including national policies, priorities and legislation;
    • Encourage children to strive for high standards in their work and behaviour;
    • Teach the children following whole school approaches;
    • Foster and maintain outstanding relationships within the classrooms and school in general;
    • Ensure the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support;
    • Use new technologies as an integral part of learning;
    • Have a positive approach towards the management of change and introduction of new initiatives;
    • Demonstrate personal enthusiasm and commitment;
    • Prioritise, plan and organise themselves and others;
    • Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
