    The Procurement Director for Selecta UK and Ireland is responsible for running and developing the related business. The function is crucial for delivering buying, procurement, category management and organisational design initiatives, including managing our strategic partnerships. The scope of the business includes Food tech, Fresh Food, Hot drinks, Cold drinks, Food & Snack and Non-food including machines, spare parts and consumables. Main focus is on maximizing the client retention and Selecta profitability by managing a best-in-class Impulse assortment, Hot drinks and Fresh Food solutions.

    This is a highly entrepreneurial role for a driven professional who loves to develop the overall strategy for the countries and categories, lead a small team of direct reports and influence the wider organisation. This role is an interim/ fixed term contract for 6 months (with a possible extension) Key targets include:
    • Category profitability targets

    • The Procurement Director reviews, challenges, and evaluates the financial targets and budgets for the individual areas of responsibility

    • People leadership and influencing; leading and influencing a diverse stakeholder field, knows how to handle variety of challenges in the UK
    • Brings excellent analytical skills and is a highly motivated problem solver, a fast thinker and self-starter who act entrepreneurial (decision maker - make it happen)
    • Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level
    • Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholder
    • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
    • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer supplier power
    • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
    • Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilising global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveraging technologic
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliant
    Requirements
    • A bachelor's degree in relevant field
    • Extensive relevant experience, including a minimum of five years in management
    • Extensive field knowledge
    • Strong Leadership skills and the ability to direct other according to business standards
