Customer Support Agent

Sheffield

£23k per annum + bonus


A bit about this role


As the Customer Support Agent, you will work within a multi-award-winning digital payments platform that helps their customers pay for motoring costs through a variety of different payment options.

This role sits within the operations team in Sheffield.

Reporting into the Collections Manager, you'll be part of a team responsible for helping their customers managing a loan repayment in an affordable manner, using a balance of commerciality, and treatingtheir customers fairly.


Key responsibilities:


The Customer Support Agent will handle a variety of inbound and outbound calls and live chat, ranging from taking payments to assisting customers with a range of queries.

A background within Debt Management, Collections, Credit Control or similar will beideal as this role will include talking to and working with vulnerable customers that have missed payments.


Responsibilities will include:
- answering customer enquiries
- reviewing accounts that are behind and determining appropriate action
- contacting customers to agree satisfactory and appropriate payment arrangements
- following Company and Treating Customers Fairly guidelines


This role will require you to work one Saturday between 8:30am - 5pm and one Sunday between 10am - 4pm every month.

You will be offered time back in lieu of the following week, with weekend working paid at a higher rates.


What experience are they looking for in you:

  • previously worked within Customer Support or Customer Service roles
- some experience within debt collection, credit control, collections or similar would be need
- proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (_i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel etc_)
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- a passion for customer service and delivering high standards of customer satisfaction
- strong interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player
