Brighton and Hove City Council are recruiting for two x 12 hour a week, permanent, Night Care Officers at Ireland Lodge to work shifts over 7 days. Enhancements are paid for nights, weekends and Bank Holiday hours.

About the role:


You will join a team of committed, friendly staff providing high level of support for adults (mainly older people) with Dementia using a re-abling approach with the aim of maximizing independence and wellbeing for individuals.

Ireland Lodge is situated in a residential area and has free parking facilities if you choose to work here.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is friendly with a calming influence
  • Wishes to support with personal care and ensure that the experience of service users receiving support is dignified, respectful, provides choice, empowers individuals and maintains self worth.
  • Being a point of regular contact so the service user feels safe and well supported
  • Keeping accurate records if required e.g. food & fluid charts; observation charts; bowel and bladder charts.

Additional information:
