A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY The Test Support Engineer's role in the Manufacturing Support Team (MST) role involves:

• Provide technical support for in house testing of all Lincoln small gas turbine products.
• Assist / lead root cause analysis of unsuccessful engine tests.
• Support new engine build line issues.
• Assess manufacturing deviations.
• Writing test related technical reports.
• Continuous improvement and development of the test support team and the departmental processes.

Flexibility of working is required to support test programme. HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Your technical support knowledge and guidance to the team will enable practical solutions for test issues.
• Your detailed and logical understanding of the events surrounding the test issues will provide the basis for future fault tree analysis.

WHAT YOU BRING The successful candidate will approximately fit the following criteria:
A Mechanical Engineer educated to degree level or equivalent experience. A good understanding of how a core gas turbine works is desirable. Experience of testing gas turbines would be of benefit. Good problem-solving skills, communication and teamworking are important. Autonomous in daily working, whilst engaging as part of a team and willing to offer support to others. Experience/understanding of pyrometry and vibration theory would be an advantage. Good data analytical and interpretation skill. The ability to write clear technical work instructions.
