    The Stewardship Analyst position supports the Stewardship Director within the Responsible Investment Team. This role involves assisting the Stewardship team in voting implementation, analysis, and reporting of stewardship activities, as well as conducting research to support engagements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude and a sincere interest in sustainability.

    In this role you will:

  • Assist in voting decision-making for shareholder meetings by conducting research and analysis on crucial matters outlined in our Global Voting Guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Stewardship Director to improve the efficiency of voting operations and aid in executing voting activities as needed.
  • Support with the monitoring and reporting of stewardship activities to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to back the stewardship team and investment teams in conducting engagements with companies.
  • Collaborate closely with the stewardship team and investment teams to coordinate company engagement strategies.
  • Requirements

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong analytical abilities, highly proficient in Excel, and comfortable handling large amounts of data
  • Ability to navigate complex databases, systems, and operational processes.
  • Aspiring to enter the field of investment stewardship with a keen focus on sustainability and corporate governance matters; familiarity with proxy voting is desirable but not mandatory
  • Effective communication and organizational capabilities, demonstrating sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team, coordinating efforts effectively
  • This role is based in Birmingham.
