As a Fraud Analytics Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of data driven analytics for the management of Fraud decision strategy, to maximise the performance of Fraud risk systems, toolkits and associated data and processes to contributedirectly to the proactive detection of fraud and the reduction of fraud losses, while minimising impact to our genuine customers and their transactions.

What will you be doing?:


  • Ensuring effective score and rule performance management for fraud detection tools ensuring optimal False Positive rates and Key Performance Indicators are set and achieved
  • Production of the design, development and deployment of analysis and monitoring to prevent and detect fraud, responding to emerging trends and attack
  • Identifying, monitoring, escalating and responding to emerging fraud trends in MO, attack profile, customer profile
  • Provision of fraud systems/data Subjectmatterexpertise in the evaluation and development of new fraud systems / tools and their implementation
  • Supporting the delivery of predictive analytics and models to allow the development of new Fraud Management solutions and better understand fraud control strategies
  • Assisting stakeholders to articulate their fraud system strategy requirements / queries, guiding and challenging where appropriate

What we're looking for:


  • A selfmotivated team player who is able to define structure and prioritise own work, but also has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when needed
  • Analytical skills, preferably working knowledge of SAS / SQL
  • Experience working in a data analytics environment
  • Ability to absorb large quantities of data at speed, making the right choices quickly with limited availability

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, operational research or related area or significat relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Fraud Risk systems and controls and their operationg environments
  • Understanding of issues relating to card and noncard fraud
  • Knowledge of each fraud type and their typical attributes and the key drivers of fraud losses
