We're currently undergoing a huge transformation and are on the look for a Continuous Improvement Process Manager.

    The Continuous Improvement (CI) Process Manager plays a key role in driving the delivery of process improvement and financial benefit. This will involve partnering with specific teams from across the business and utilising the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) skillset to unlock process efficiencies.

    The CI Process Manager will also work alongside teams on specific business projects that extend across a number of functions to optimise process in more complex end to end processes. Identifying elements created within one team that manifest themselves as inefficiencies and costs in another.

    This will involve discovery work in many different parts of the business, gaining an understanding of the mechanics of each business area, working in partnership with the Functional Process Owners (FPOs) within each area.

    Key elements, as a Lean Six Sigma specialist, will be to both support the training of these teams in L6S to the relevant levels, and advocate the methodology on a day to day basis to embed L6S as a business wide language to deliver large scale business improvement and financial savings.

    Role Requirements:

    • Create and drive a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and way of working in your Partnered teams.
    • Be a lead advocate for Lean Six Sigma (L6S), providing support and direction to Business teams to ensure all key colleagues, involved in process management are both trained in L6S and are actively utilising the skills to investigated, detect, and deliver substantial efficiency improvements.
    • Partner with Business Functions and FPOs to follow the Process Transformation Methodology (PTM). Working with the Process CoE (Centre of Excellence) to ensure all steps in the PTM are delivered creating the consistency for Business Process Management throughout the Business.
    • Understand the process framework for Sainsbury's, including its purpose and application, and play an active part in building breadth and depth in this framework through projects and business engagement.
    • Lead projects across the business working closely with key business stakeholders to understand and distil the ways of working by capturing business process maps and identifying how these fit into the wider business process architecture.
    • Build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders

    Skills Needed:

    • An experienced CI professional, qualified in Lean Six Sigma (Black/Green belt)
    • Passionate about Continuous improvement methodology and the potential to deliver major change.
    • Experience in business process management in complex, cross-functional organisation
    • Project management skills
    • Cross functional stakeholder management
    • Experience of partnering with Business teams rather than direct line management
    • Familiar experience with process management software (e.g. IBM Blueworks Live), using it to map processes.
    • Experience of working across different groups of stakeholders in a business to drive a consistent outcome.
    • Ability to digest complex business processes involving multiple stakeholder groups, systems, and data sets to produce output that is organised and simple to understand
