NextGear Capital offers Stocking Plans designed to help independent and franchised used vehicle dealers buy, manage and sell stock.

It provides carefully tailored plans connecting stock wholesalers to dealerships, providing simple, cost-effective support across a wide range of vehicle sources.

Since launching in 2014 we have broadened our product range to offer Stocking Plans to both independent and franchised used vehicle dealers selling used cars, motor bikes and LCVs.

We are now partnered with over two thirds of the auctions in the UK with additional wholesale sources and have welcomed well over 2,000 dealers on board.

Scope of the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Risk Support Manager (SRSM), the Area Risk Assessor is:

A Field based Risk position
The Risk Assessor will mitigate risks for a portfolio of clients
Risk Assessor's workload is roughly split between risk, negotiation, collections and report writing.
You will be responsible for risk mitigation which will be achieved through risk analysis, negotiations, collections and mentoring/training/Dealer reeducation.

Objectives for Role:

It is your responsibility to evaluate a Dealer's "health" depending on risk indicators, current stock situation and then report your findings back to head office for collaborative decision making.

You will then execute/put into action plans agreed to best protect NextGear Capital's investment.

Based upon account analysis and review, you will be part of the decision making as to whether to take a passive collection approach, establish and execute a recovery plan, or to terminate the relationship

This would include:

The disposition of Next Gear Capital floored inventory
Exercising efficient and effective collections tactics to resolve the performance failure(s)

As the Area Risk Assessor, you will:

Work with/liaise with office-based Risk personnel to direct the course of action to be taken on default dealer accounts
Work to establish agreed plans to address risk issues
Follow up actions/visits will be required when nursing a dealer back to best practise, however this may take the form of recovery activity if rehabilitation of an account is not possible.

From the initial risk warning sign through to an agreed end result (be it recovery or rehabilitation) you will re-educate those dealers with critical performance failures bringing their account performance standards back into compliance.

A primary part of the Risk Assessor role will require a co-operative approach with other local field-based staff when system training and or discussing/coaching Dealers on sales administration best practice.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Strong experience in working within a face to face environment within negotiating/collecting/seeking amicable resolutions.

Self-organised and able to appropriately prioritise/escalate when needed - planning dealer visits and reporting results/audit findings in a timely manner taking a risk-based approach when covering your own area.

In addition, you will have experience in fieldbased recovery and or face to face collections.
IT literate: good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel & Word
Good verbal and written communication skills confident communicator at all levels
Excellent telephone manner essential
Excellent attention to detail required
Articulate and enthusiastic
Team player as well as selfmotivated and able to work alone
