    Job responsibilities

    As a Band 5 Nurse you will provide high-quality clinical assessment and treatment tosubstance dependant prisoners, working in partnership with HM Prison Service and all otherstakeholders.You will ensure the delivery and monitoring of high standards of nursing care and relevantsubstance misuse interventions to all service users in accordance with the standards set outin the NMC Code of Conduct.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Current Registered General Nurse, Mental Health Nurse or Learning
  • Disability Nurse
  • Desirable

  • Mentorship Qualification
  • Experience

    Essential

  • -Suitable experience for a newly qualified nurse
  • -Knowledge of the safe storage and administration of medication
  • -Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and act
  • accordingly if concerns present themselves
  • -Knowledge and ability to comply with the NMC Code of Conduct
  • -Good written and verbal communication skills
  • -Strong IT Skills
  • -Ability to maintain accurate patient records within the standards
  • required locally, the Forward Trust and NMC

  • -Evidence of personal development since entering the NMC register
  • -Audit process and an ability to use audit tools
