We have stepped up for our residents and businesses like never before.

At the London Borough of Hounslow, we have big ambitions.

And our Housing and Tenancy Management Services are helping us realise these by transforming how we work for our residents.

Right now, we're looking for outcome-focused officers and performance-driven managers to fill our Housing and Tenancy Services roles.

In this role, you'll play a key role in reassuring and helping residents.

It's about so much more than providing great customer service:

You must be an experienced tenancy officer and passionate about making a difference while working in the team. You'll need to find common ground, seek different perspectives, and solve problems with an open and adaptable nature.

Key responsibilities

  • Day-to-day, you'll be out and about in the community, making every effort to get to know all our residents. As their first point of contact, you'll field lots of questions and solve as many problems as you can. Proactive and collaborative, you'll work with other teams in the council to achieve the right outcomes.
  • You will be a frontline professional delivering a first class, modern and flexible core tenancy and housing management service in the Borough.
  • You are the first and main point of contact with tenants, identify problems early to nip emerging issues in the bud and prevent escalation whenever possible.
  • You adopt a preventative approach and are solution focussed to ensure that the needs of tenants are effectively met.

Your skills

  • You have excellent knowledge to give meaningful information and advice to enable tenants to act upon it themselves but supporting them where they need some extra help.
  • You work well with others to ensure tenants live safely and independently in their homes.

Essential for the role

  • You must have a full driving licence in the UK.
  • Basic DBS check is required for the role.
Having a diverse workforce is vital because it helps us to better understand our communities and different perspectives. You'll find that our culture is supportive and inclusive, allowing you to be your true self.

And because we want everyone reach their full potential, you'll take advantage of great career progression and plenty of benefits.

It's time to take pride in your work. It's time to join One Hounslow, one vision, one team.
