My client is a South East London based Multi Academy Trust, with strong growth plans to add to its member schools in 2023.

Operating from a central finance team model, a talented Financial Accountant is sought to join the team, in a prominent role for the Trust.

The role focuses on supporting the senior finance team with oversight of the monthly management accounting schedules and reports as well as controlling the transactional accounting processes.

The role will look at all financial controls, including ensuing bestfinancial reporting, system, process and controls appraisal as well as managing the financial reporting requirements for both internal and externa stakeholders.

The role manages the Trust's Balance Sheet, including performing and coordinating monthly balancesheet reconciliations, ensuring bank account reconciliations, bank records and mandates are accurately actioned.

You will lead on all statutory accounting obligations, especially on tax obligations with a focus on VAT returns and ensuring appropriate treatmentof VAT on all Trust transactions.

Ad hoc continuous improvement project work as well as briefing the team on tax implications of more medium to long term Trust development plans, forms part of the role.
