    Head of SOC

    Location – Remote

    Salary - £85,000 – £100,000 + Bonus + Generous Benefits

    One of the most established and fastest growing UK insurance firms are currently looking to bring in a Head of Security Operations (SOC) to lead their established internal SOC capability and drive its development into a best-in-class Monitoring, Detection and Response capability.

    You will be taking over an established and sophisticated SOC function in this post, one that currently has senior analysts and experienced analysts in place, but with the responsibility to develop it even further by continuing to use XDR technologies and more proactive cyber threat hunting techniques.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as a technical mentor and escalation point to the more junior members of the SOC, helping to identify opportunities to automate and streamline investigation processes.
    • Continue to develop the SOC's functionality and evolution into a proactive monitoring, detection, and response function.
    • Lead and manage the SOC capability, responsible for delivering advanced monitoring and detection services.

    Key Requirements

    • A solid technical background, preferably with experience working in a specialist SOC/CERT/MDR capability.
    • Previous experience leading a global SOC function and overseeing training, mentoring, and directing teams of SOC Analysts and Engineers.
    • Prior experience articulating technical concepts into business risks and influencing senior stakeholders and departmental C-suite executives.
