The Job The Company
Our client is a globally established multi-disciplined consultancy, providing a variation of engineering, BIM and sustainability are looking for a Fire Engineer to join their team based in the Berkshire area. Working on different projects within Residential, Hotels, Government Facilities and many more.
The Role
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Produce engineering designs, calculations and specifications, using appropriate technical Software
• Proactively manage own continuing professional development (including, where appropriate, actively pursuing Chartership with an appropriate professional institution).
• Correspond with external third parties (eg clients, contractors, architects and/or manufacturers)
• regarding information and technical queries
• Undertake site visits to monitor the progress of works against specification, and highlight
• Report regularly to relevant Associate(s) on the performance of projects against agreed project plans and budgets
• Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients' briefs
• Attend and participate in client and (internal and external) project meetings, issues to the contractor, client and/or (internal or external) project manager as necessary
• Comply with project management, Operational (QA), Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures
• Co-ordinate input from other disciplines and specialisms as required
• Supervise and co-ordinate the production of technical drawings
• Check calculations, specifications, drawings and reports produced by others, in accordance with Operational Procedures
• Provide training and coaching to less experienced staff
• Manage engineering projects and co-ordinate resource and activities to achieve short-term time and financial targets
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven technical competence and experience
• Proven ability to plan and programme own work and that of others
• Engineering qualification at Bachelor's degree level or higher in a relevant discipline
• Demonstrable commitment to supporting the professional development of less experienced staff Evidence of progress towards achieving
