Meraki Talent are working alongside a Top 30 accountancy firm in London on the role of Part Qualified Auditor.


The Company


Our client sits within the top 30 firms within the UK with their office situated centrally within the City of London.

With over 500 staff they have grown significantly over the last decade to become a leader within the London and the UK market.


The firm have a particular interest within the fields of Creative Media, Technology, Property and Third sector, with most of the portfolio consisting of clients within these disciplines.


Due to continued growth and recent major client wins the firm are looking to add to their ever-growing audit team, already sitting at 100+ individuals from Partner grade downwards, they are a hugely enthusiastic team and are achieving fantastic results for the business month on month.


The Role


As a Part Qualified Auditor, you will already be working towards an official accounting qualification or be willing to begin your journey to full qualification within a CA firm.

You will have experience of leading small audits from planning stage through to completion stage. This will include the supervision of junior staff within the wider audit team.

This will be a client facing role where a willingness to work as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines is an essential part of day-to-day life.


You will have the opportunity to work with clients across a wide range of sectors and of varying sizes, from large corporate and owner managed businesses to smaller independent and entrepreneurial type clients.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform audits using bespoke riskbased audit approach in line with audit quality standards
  • Assistant as a middle person on larger audits, completing relevant sections of the audit file as discussed and agreed at planning meetings
  • On smaller audits, you will function as senior reporting directly to the manager. On these occasions, the individual would be responsible for the planning of the audit file through to the completion sections including drafting financial statements, management letter and letter of representation
  • Supervise to less experienced members of the audit team as agreed by the senior group
  • Communicate with the senior group regularly on audit and make recommendations on how clients can improve their systems and controls
  • Involved within accounts preparation work either from trial balance or from original records

Experience
Experience of working in a previous audit role within a CA firm is essential.

The firm are open to individuals from firms from Big 4, Mid - tier and boutique firms as they believe individuals offer new ideas and ways of working.
