About the role:
Your primary focus will be in support of solar PV projects, including on roof commercial and industrial installations, and the development of multi-megawatt solar farms.
In addition to this you will be responsible for the preparation of project status reports and supporting documentation, co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of the Technical team.
Whilst this role will be office based there will be the occasional requirement to carry out site visits nation-wide, and occasionally attend planning meetings which may fall outside of normal working hours.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Determining the planning requirements for renewable energy projects
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to provide clear updates, timescales and feedback on Planning Applications
- Develop, submit and track Permitted Development Applications
- Engage with Local Planning Authorities to determine scope of Full Planning Applications
- Engage with external advisors to develop and submit Full Planning Applications
- Develop the inhouse capabilities to support Planning Applications, including Glint and Glare reports
- Ensuring that Technical project records and files are accurate and up to date on Sharepoint and Microsoft Dynamics
- Providing Project Status reports to support stakeholders across the business
- Act as liaison between clients and the Technical team, including providing client updates, organising client meetings, and fielding incoming technical queries, signposting to appropriate members of the team
- Perform research, audit, reporting, and referencing activities.
- Any other tasks which management requires support with.
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience with Planning and Permitted Development Applications
- Demonstrable knowledge of planning policy associated with renewable energy installations
- Demonstrable knowledge and interest in renewable energy
- Experience with database driven Customer Relationship Manager software
- Excellent Organisation Skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Full UK Driving License
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience with Sharepoint and Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience programming with Python
Salary:
£27,500.00-£32,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
