    Job Description

    Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated KS2 Teacher to join a reputable 'Good' two-form primary school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a KS2 setting. Aside from that, the successful KS2 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

    The School

    This is a vibrant and exceptional two-form entry school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from April 2024. The school has a Good Ofsted rating. The school has a supportive culture and is an excellent place for both students and staff members.

    Responsibilities of a KS2 teacher:

    • As a KS2 Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
    • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
    • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
    • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
    • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
    • Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning
    • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for KS2 students

    KS2 Teacher requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or above in Education, or related field
    • Teaching qualification and QTS
    • At least 2 years of experience in teaching KS2 students
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education
    • Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff
