Job Description:

MCR Property Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Handyman to join our dynamic maintenance team. As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of sites across West Midlands. Responsibilities:

1. General Maintenance: Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, to maintain the functionality and appearance of residential properties.
2. Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues within residential properties promptly and efficiently.
3. Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs, ensuring properties are safe and well-maintained.
4. Emergency Response: Be on call for emergency maintenance issues outside regular working hours as needed.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
6. Customer Service: Interact professionally with residents and property management to address maintenance concerns and ensure a positive living experience.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
8. Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

1. Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a handyman or in a similar role within residential maintenance.
2. Skills: Proficient in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
3. Reliability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
5. Flexibility: Willingness to work outside regular business hours for emergency maintenance as required.
6. Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Company van is not provided.
7. Mileage Reimbursement: Willingness to travel to different sites. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of 45p per business mile.
