    We're currently looking for an experience full-stack software engineer career - with an interest in data and advanced analytics.
    This is an early hire for a young, fast-growing consultancy.

    We're looking for someone who is adaptable and driven that wants to grow with our business and has a strong say in how we shape the company.

    Work with our expert data and analytics consultants to help customers deliver more value from their data.

    This will play an important role in the technical and delivery teams and take ownership of the application development and front-end components of our platform builds for customers.

    Day-to-day work will involve project delivery and collaborating with stakeholders across our internal and customer teams.

    Technical work will include building, testing, deploying, maintaining, packaging, and explaining applications and front-end components for our data platform solutions for our customers - built with modern tools across the open source and cloud platform landscape.

    You'll spend time capturing requirements and working with the other consultants to turn them into production-grade solutions - getting value into production is our prime concern for all our engagements.

    You will also be heavily involved in the outreach and knowledge sharing that Hypercube does.

    AccountabilitiesWork with developers, managers, and business stakeholders to understand and define components of the software landscape and how they relate to the wider platformUnderstand and translate end-user requirements into designs and delivery plans for effective software solutionsLeverage open-source and cloud platform technologies to deliver robust solutionsProduce high-quality communications, documentation, and presentations of solutions for colleagues and customersSubject-matter expert and evangelist for strong software engineering practicesContribution to Hypercube's blog and other outreach effortsWorking with the business development team to shape and win new projectsHelping to grow both our internal knowledge and skill sets as we scale.

    ProfileExperience in full-stack web developmentExperience developing RESTful APIs and distributed cloud servicesExperience with component-based front-end development (ideally React, but we know you can learn quickly)


    You have a strong technical background – gained in energy, cleanTech, or deep tech startups, with experience in scaling cloud-based platformsYou have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive cultural changeYou live a highly data-driven mindset with strong organisational skillsYou have a strong understanding of data products, software development life cycle & agile methodologiesTechnical skillsWe understand that this list is extensive – please apply if you fit some or only part of it we're flexible and are mostly looking for bright people who can adapt as the role grows.

    Experience in deploying and maintaining software systems and data pipelines in a production cloud environmentExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal – able to translate complex technical subject into easily understood presentations and written documentation for mixed technical audiences.
