A Turnaround is an extraordinary maintenance and engineering event that involves a large number of engineering activities being undertaken in a minimum duration.
The Turnaround Engineer is responsible for all activities associated with the development, preparation, execution and closeout. Turnarounds with the primary emphasis being the leading of TAs on major Units during block events.
The main objectives are to optimise the work-scope within the TA Premises set for the event and deliver the scope within the defined Safety, Cost, Schedule, Quality & Reliability performance metrics.
The Turnaround Engineer will also hold some wider responsibilities, on behalf of the TA team, for delivery of specific business processes. For example these could include TA Continuous Improvement, TA Quality Management System or TA Materials Management.
