    About the Role

    At Dexory, autonomous robots are a critical part of our product offering. We design,build and test our robots in house in our Wallingford facility.The role will be based in our facility in Wallingford. The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality of mechanical parts and assemblies within our fast growing business.

    This position offers the right candidate the opportunity for further career progression within the company, as we continue to scale.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Quality Engineer and Production to drive quality assurance initiatives and maintain high standards across the business.
    • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. (E.g Sheet Metal, CNC Machined, Painted/Powder Coated Parts, etc)
    • Utilise precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to perform accurate assessments.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection results, quarantined items and quality control data.
    • Promptly communicate non-conformance to relevant stakeholders via established communication routes Ie. NCRs
    • Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality control
    • Ensure that the manufacturing processes adhere to established quality and safety guidelines
    • Fulfill additional duties, whether functional or administrative, as assigned by management in a fair and reasonable manner.

    Job requirements

    • Adaptive to change and ready to evolve as we scale up the quality functions within the business
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings & CAD models - CAD viewer training can be provided
    • Ability to create robust and clear procedures for all quality related aspects of the business
    • Ability to work closely across multiple departmental interfaces to coordinate quality efforts and improvements
    • Ability to use First principle measuring systems for engineering inspection purposes
    • Good communicator with the ability to impart knowledge onto others
    • Flexible and proactive mindset who enjoys problem solving and able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision
    • Meticulous attention to detail.

    Desirable but not essential:

    • Previous experience of using advanced measurement systems such as CMM, Vision systems, Faro Arms etc. useful but not essential
    • Previous experience of working under a recognised quality approval is preferred but not essential - Example: ISO / AS9100:D
    • Recognised quality training qualifications preferable but also not essential.
