Description

Due to a recent project win, CMC are looking to grow their Test Development Engineering capabilities. The roles a 6 month initial duration due with the scope to be extended further. This role is operated on a hybrid basis split between a two week working pattern with one week being 4 days and the second being 4.5.

Essential Functions include:

• Development of unambiguous Test Applications for end of line testing of Life Safety Sounders and Visual Indicators

• Write clear process test documentation based on the test application and/or test sequences, and provide training to relevant production personals on all newly introduced test equipment.

• Work alongside Test HW Engineer to design and implement test fixtures for PCBA and finished goods testing

• Participate in the reviews of all the test equipment software and hardware during every phase of manufacturing, ensuring effective operation and maintaining production test procedures.

• Work with engineering department to define and develop cost effective testing strategies and techniques to be performed with respect to hardware and software modules within the system

• Deployment of procured test equipment effectively and efficiently into the manufacturing environment.

• Actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement, refining and defining procedures and processes to ensure good quality product meeting cost and time-to-market objectives.

• Support of diagnosis and remedial actions to facilitate product rework.

Technical knowledge

• Experience with NI LabView and TestStand development

• Experience in the creation of test documentation, i.e., test specifications and test plans

• Ability to interpret electronic schematic diagrams

• Design experience of functional test equipment

• Knowledge and experience of aftersales processes and systems including warranty and repair operations
