    The AIS STORM (Systems Tooling Operations Reliability and Metrics) team is looking for experienced engineers who are willing to own solutions, insist on the highest standards for our customers and can both think of the big picture but dive deep into solutions when the situation warrants.

    Key job responsibilities

    The skills and traits we are seeking include:

    • Passionate about working with large data sets and be someone who is able to bring data sets together to answer business questions and drive growth. You will have an opportunity to work with big data and emerging technologies while driving business intelligence solutions endtoend: business requirements, data modelling, ETL, metadata, reporting, and dash boarding.
    • Excellent Linux/Unix Systems Administration knowledge, including shell scripting, and a proficiency in at least one development language.
    • Be a focal point for the escalation for complex issues and dive deep for solutions as well as provide guidance and knowledge sharing with your teammates.
    • Drive the team to improve operational efficiency for all services through root cause and trend analysis with the identification and development of SLA, metrics, monitors, procedures, tools, and documentation
    • Have, or be willing to learn, the capability to automate day to day tasks and develop/build software and/or services.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience administrating in a Linux environment.
    • Experience of systems management (e.g. 50+ servers).
    • Experience of building scripts, tooling, and automation for largescale computing environments using Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, or Bash/Shell.
    • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field, or equivalency in related work experience.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Database experience to include building and executing queries (e.g. MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
    • Experience with configuration management systems such as cfengine, Chef, or Puppet.
    • Experience with opensource technologies.
    • Demonstrable expertise around specifying, designing, and/or implementing system health, performance monitoring tools, and software management tools.
    • Basic certifications in applicable field e.g. Net+/Security+/A+/Linux+/RHCSA.
    • Agile methods and processes experience.
