Position Summary

We are currently looking for a skilled and innovative QA software tester with experience in the mobile handset field.

Contract Type: 12 Month Contract (within IR35)


Job Location:
Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, UK


Hybrid Working:
Working week will be 3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home

Role and Responsibilities

The main tasks you are expected to perform include, but are not limited to:

  • Quality assurance end user testing on live networks.
  • Flashing test software on test equipment.
  • Abiltiy to capture and upload various logging files.
  • Defect Management. Raising and managing software releated issues.


  • Mobile Software tests

  • Interoperability tests, Network Infra, IMS testing & New feature tests
  • Market VOC feedback and reporting.
  • Contributing to regular progress and test reports
  • Provide informed feedback on interface usability and phone design concept.
  • Individual management of test schedule / projects assigned.
  • Running and set up of automation testing.
  • Testing and analysing new features of mobile devices and network.
Skills and Qualifications


Essential skills are:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline (an equivalent period of industrial experience may be substituted)
  • Strong experience with Agile QA testing
  • High knowledge of defect management raising and handling
  • A good understanding of documentation requirements
  • Expertise in mobile phone technologies (features and specficiations)
  • Ability to create efficient and meaningful test cases
  • ISTQB software testing certification
  • Ability to selfmanage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • A strong level of presentation, communication and planning skills
  • Capable of making decisions, working independently and organising own workload.
  • Approachable, flexible, team orientated and selfassertive where required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Desirable skills include:

  • Automation script writing and executing
  • Previous expierence of Interoperability testing
  • Knowledge / experience of AI testing
