Job Description

Development of new products to for the nonwoven abrasive market, including the new segment of robotic sanding applications

1. Contribute to plant improvement / cost saving projects.
2. Support on projects to key stakeholders within the business; Production / Customer services / Sales / HSE/ Logistics / Purchasing/ Quality support
3. Leading, mentoring and developing the members of the nonwoven abrasive product development team
4. Undertake all people management activities and communicate objectives, tasks and targets.
5. Assess departmental performance and training needs of self and others
6. Maintenance of technical skill profile to meet site and business needs.
7. Communicate Corporate information to team, as appropriate

Qualifications

Educated to degree/masters level with chemical background, knowledge of the production of nonwovens and coating processes is an advantageProactive self-starter able to work under own direction and keen interest in personal development.Hands on approach, enjoys working in a production environmentStrong interpersonal skills (cooperation across the hierarchies and on international environment).Flexible, ability to support, positively influence and work with various departments and levels of management.Analytic thinking and problem-solving skills, demonstrates attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.Planning and project management skills including Agile working methods.Ad hoc travel abroad (predominantly Europe) to visit customers, suppliers and the head quarter in Frauenfeld as required
