    Salary: Starting at £28k

Location: Office based in Bromsgrove (B60 4AL)

    The Company

Blackberry Events is a small event management agency with a big reputation. Specialising in events in Birmingham, London and across the UK, Blackberry has always been known as an agency centred around people, passion and purpose. Celebrating our 13th anniversary, we continue to design, develop and deliver live and virtual events for clients in the private sector, UK government and not for profit organisations.

    Event Executive

You'll be someone who's got experience in live events – maybe a little, maybe a lot – but crucially, someone who can get stuck in, who can get things done when it counts and make things happen as part of a dynamic events team.

Someone who understands that in live events, you only get one chance to get it right, and that's why we love it.

So, if that sounds like you and you want to work on projects you can be proud of, read on...

    The role

You'll be a key member of a small yet dynamic event team, responsible for bringing together all the elements – design, development and delivery – of our events, whether that be a conference for 1000 people, a roadshow to 10 UK cities or an award ceremony for 200 volunteers.

You'll be a key point of contact for clients and will manage a team to ensure the project is delivered on brief, on time and in budget.

From concept and creation, through to delivery and completion, you'll be involved in all aspects of an event, from creating marketing campaigns to managing project budgets, from client liaison to managing an on-site team.

We throw great seasonal staff socials, finish early on Fridays in the summer, and we close down every year between Christmas and New Year.

We also offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

    • Planning, organising and delivering an agreed number of events
    • Managing client accounts
    • Producing detailed planning documentation and accurate event budgets
    • Source and manage local and national suppliers for each event
    • Build, manage and host client zoom webinars (training provided)
    • Build and manage Event Management software systems (training provided)
    • Sourcing venues, then negotiating event dates, prices and venue contracts
    • Updating social media for various projects
    • Collaborating on client proposals, budget development, and event concepts

There'll be travel across the country, problems to solve, and relationships to nurture. There'll be loads to learn, plenty of opportunities to grow, and always last-minute surprises.

    About you

You'll have worked in or around events already and you can show us that you've got the enthusiasm, attention to detail and positive attitude to get things done in this environment. Calmness under pressure, organisational skills and the ability to work in a team are a given, so you'll be able to tell us about the times when these qualities have enabled you to deliver your best work.

You'll need to hold a full UK driving licence, be able to travel occasionally around the UK and be flexible to working hours when live events take place over evenings and/or weekends.

    • Experience of event planning, management and delivery
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, work efficiently and juggle competing priorities
    • A proven problem solver who can assess a situation quickly and make decisions, escalating when necessary
    • A track record of successful event delivery, with a focus on exceptional attendee experience
    • A working knowledge of IT systems including event management databases and Microsoft office is desirable
    • Experience of managing budgets and monitoring and reporting on expenditure
