A Alternative provision in Plymouth wish to hire a full time behaviour mentor.The successful applicant working as a behaviour mentor will join a supportive staff team and undertake regular training; there is an opportunity for this to become a permanentposition.
Teaching Personnel Plymouth SEN branch work in partnership with this school based in Plymouth to cater for all of their staffing needs.
The alternative provision caters for Primary and secondary aged children who struggle to access education due to their learning needs, specifically you will support children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Teaching Personnel's Mental Health Support Worker's work with pupils who are achieving below a mainstream schools expectation, mainly for low attendance and behaviour.
Therole of behaviour mentor will be working alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve attendance and behaviour.
Our staff builds productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.To be considered for the Mental Health Support Worker position you will ideally be/have;
- Prior experience working with Special Educational Needs
- Experience supporting or assisting children with behaviour aged 41
- The ability to develop good relationships with pupils
- Safeguarding knowledge or training, level 1 or above
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
