About the Role


We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Officer to join our busy and growing Finance team to manage the credit control function for the company.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Proactively manage the company's credit control policy, ensuring customers adhere to agreed credit terms.
  • Sending invoices and statements to customers.
  • Running routine checks via Credit Safe in regards to customer credit ratings before approving credit requests.
  • Establishing terms of credit for customers and ensure invoices are paid on time.
  • Renegotiating customer payment terms.
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of the Debtor's ledger in several companies across the business.
  • Liaising with customers and respond to queries.
  • Liaising between company departments.
  • Preparing Aged Debt reports for management when required.
  • Manage the small claims process for the business, to include preparing and submitting claim files.

Skills and Experience:


  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Selfmotivated / Positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal & written.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preparing and submitting small claim files (Desirable)
  • Previous experience of Sage 200 Accounts & Credit Hound (Desirable)

£23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
