    Salary: £29,784 - £40,083 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2 posts at 37 hours per week, 1 post at 30 hours per week.

    About the Role
    We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapists (and occupational therapy students nearing the end of their course), to join our newly appointed single-handed care team undertaking assessments to look at assessing packages of care to ensure safety and cost-effective service provision.

  • Level 1 Occupational Therapist: £29,784 to £32,004
  • Level 2 Occupational Therapist: £33,060 to £36,660
  • Level 3 Occupational Therapist: £37,410 to £40,083
  • We have a strong team of Occupational Therapists and Community Support Workers who are passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and long-term needs. Our single-handed care team works with individuals and care agencies to ensure care provision is suitable, safe, and cost effective. We aim to achieve the best outcomes for people across Leicestershire, taking a strengths-based approach and embracing change and new opportunities.

    About You

    To apply for this post, you must:

  • Hold a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or expect to have completed your course and obtained registration in 2023.
  • Have knowledge of occupational therapy methodologies, social care policies such as reablement and asset based social care, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Children's Act and Disabled Facilities Grant.
  • Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
  • Have experience of partnership working with citizens to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
  • Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
  • Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member with good prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Have good moving and handling skills.
  • We also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
