Our Network Response Team have an opportunity for you to join as our new
Network Response Shift Supervisor playing you part in our own emergency service, responding to water events to restore water supplies back to normal for our customers as quickly as possible.


In your new role, you'll play an essential role in maintaining or restore our customers water supplies within 3 hours of an issue on our network, with a reliable consistent and versatile 24/7 service, driving innovations in the industry and inspiring customer trust.


When not responding to events you'll play your part in checking, servicing, maintaining, and training on Severn Trent's contingency equipment, plant and vehicles.

You'll also create and test plans and equipment to ensure we are ready to respond if there are any issues occurring on the clean water network.

So, are you a Network Response Shift Supervisor who has the ability to liaise with other departments, contractors and at times the emergency services?

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • You'll mentor, coordinate, and deliver training across the Network Response Team to improve performance when responding to an event, while providing site incident management of water supply events, including logístical coordination, resource planning and site supervision of multiple operatives and HGV drivers.
  • Responsible for taking water samples to using technical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory obligation to monitor drinking water quality.
  • Perform and record daily and weekly vehicle checks as per Severn Trent procedures and ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition both internally and externally.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE


We're seeking our new Network Response Shift Supervisor to be carrying out operational activities on site such as flushing and cleansing of water mains and hydrants, pressure, flow and disinfection management.

You'll also comply with the Working Time Directive and driving regulations.


To be successful, you'll ideally have knowledge of the water distribution network, experience of delivering great customer service and equipment maintenance/mechanical-based work.

You'll also be required to hold a valid driving licence.
