Sulis Hospital Bath Ltd is looking for a Financial Accountant to lead a busy team of five people. The successful candidate will be responsible for control accounts, bank reconciliations, cashflow, invoicing and charging, payments and debt collection, and income accruals for monthly reporting.

Sulis hospital is a leading private hospital in the area and is wholly owned by the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As well as the private work, Sulis is seeing increasing numbers of NHS patients and is growing fast, with ambitious initiatives underway to establish new NHS diagnostics and orthopaedics facilities. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate adaptability by having an awareness of commercial accounting but also an ability to work in an NHS environment.

We are looking for candidates who have made progress in accounting qualifications, at least degree level at 2:1 or ACCA or ACA part qualified. We are looking for you to demonstrate good experience in a number of the areas of responsibility of this post. We would like to see some previous experience in managing staff. You will need to have:

• Excellent communication skills,

• Advanced IT and Excel skills,

• Strong attention to detail,

• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and

• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
