(Rotational weekends, late night and bank holiday working)

£21,730 - £23,177 per annum pro rata

We have a vacancy for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant within the pharmacy department.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to fulfil this supporting role.

You will also be required to have experience dispensing in either a hospital or community pharmacy setting.


This post will include working in the main dispensary, ward stock distribution area, goods receipt and rotational ward work alongside other members of the team.

Senior Pharmacy Assistant

  • To supervise and work closely with the pharmacy stores team to ensure accurate and efficient receipt of medicines.
  • Carry out routine tasks including, stock topups, supply and distribution to wards and departments in accordance with policies and procedures under supervision of technicians and pharmacists.
  • Undertake Pharmacy Assistant duties as required to meet the needs of the service.
  • Undertake related filing
  • Assist technical and professional staff in undertaking audit and review of systems
  • Participate in training new assistants and students
