- Knowledge of radiochemical or chemical analysis; selection of methods; processing and use of analytical data.
- Operation and interpretation of radiometric instrumentation data.
- Development of activity assessment methodologies.
- Usage of relevant software such as Microshield, Mercurad, Visual Sample Plan.
- Management of radioactive waste on a nuclear licensed site.
- Nuclear Industry Knowledge, with on-site experience at a Nuclear facility highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of both radioactive and non-radioactive waste management legislation.
- A good understanding of the waste routing options for radioactive and non-radioactive waste (inclusive of Waste Acceptance Criteria).
- Production of technical reporting and supporting calculations on the aforementioned topics.
- A level of commercial awareness and ability to work within budget and program.
- Flexible in approach and willing to travel to work on client sites.

Successful candidates will be helping support high hazard decommissioning projects both in the UK and Worldwide, working as part of our multi-discipline team. Responsibilities for the role will be focused around those detailed below and there will be an expectation to support other team members outside this specific discipline where the need arises. Nominally, candidates will based out of the Whitehaven office, however depending on experience, candidates may be based at our Warrington, Silchester or wider office locations in the UK.
