We are searching for a Cyber Security Manager to join our IT team at our HQ in Lichfield.

You will ideally come from a Cyber Security background and will have worked in Cyber Security for three years or more.


The role and responsibilities:


Cyber Security:


  • Developing, introducing and maintaining Information Security policies, procedures, and documentation ensuring the appropriate governance practices are in place, while enhancing the business cyber risk management.
  • Engage with leaders to affect change and accountability regarding information security and promoting a high level of consciousness regarding cyber risk through education, awareness, and support.
  • Balance the security needs of the business with its strategic business plan and identify risk factors and solutions that enhance the business ability to achieve the objectives of its strategic plan.
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with our thirdparty Security Operations Centre, formulating a response capability and realtime analysis of immediate threats.
  • Plan and test responses to security breaches including communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and improve the Information Security strategic plan, with the desire to becoming ISO 27001 compliant.
  • Produce performance reports on Information Security matters to senior management and stakeholders, which regularly assesses and monitors the security posture of the business.
  • Managing internal/external Information Security audits, risk assessments, and testing.
  • Managing and developing controls, policies, and procedures in relation to data access and cyber security.
  • Coordinating and interacting with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and horizon scan on any upcoming changes.
  • Monitoring security events that could impact the organisation and creating remediation plans.

Information Security

  • Serve as the focal point for all activities relating to data protection.
  • Set standards and create policies and procedures that meet requirements under Data Protection Legislation.
  • Implement and maintain effective systems and controls to manage compliance with Data Protection Legislation.
  • Monitor compliance with Data Protection Legislation.
  • Advise on new business projects involving personal data and support with data protection impact assessments.

A bit about you:


  • A detailed understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory framework relating to the relevant sectors of information security under ISO 2700
  • Verbal and written communication skills to be able to explain highly technical information to nontechnical audiences and deliver presentations in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in teams and facilitate change.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to assess problems and identify resolutions.
  • High level of planning and organisational skills.
