As a good partner service based within York, we have identified the need to grow our provision and are seeking the right person to be part of this journey of growth.
The team operate out of our new building at Orca House, We can consider hybrid working patterns (from home and clinical bases) in line with our smarter working policy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established community team supporting young people and families with mental health and in assessing individuals for possible Neurodiversity.
The successful candidate will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.They will offer direct input to individuals, their families and carers in a clinic setting. The successful candidate will also provide supervision and support trainee psychologists throughout placement.
You will be expected to have the necessary skills and experience to undertake direct clinical work with children and families, offer clinical supervision and consultation, contribute to service evaluation, as well as manage the demands of service development and change.

netPost-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
Trained in care co-ordination (within agreed timescale)
Evidence of continuing professional development
Post-graduate qualification showing evidence of supervised practice in an evidence-based psychological therapeutic model
Working with mental health/learning disability clients (depending on designated service area)
Experience of CBT, DBT, Psychodynamics, systemic therapy
Risk assessment and risk management
Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
Adapt creatively the evidence base for interventions in mental health for clients with communication difficulties / learning disabilities.
Provide (within agreed timescale) effective teaching, training and clinical supervision
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and undertake care co-ordination/lead practitioner responsibilities
