Job Description:
The Room Leader will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children in their assigned room.
They will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the room, managing a team of educators, and promoting the holistic development of each child in their care.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring the implementation of high-quality early childhood education programs and practices.
Develop and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment that meets the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of each child.
Collaborate with other educators and professionals to plan and implement age-appropriate activities, experiences, and curriculum based on the individual needs and interests of the children.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress, milestones, and areas for further development, and communicate this information to parents or guardians regularly.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting open communication and a collaborative approach to child development and well-being.
Mentor and support other educators in the room, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching practices.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments, in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
Actively engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Relevant certifications and qualifications in early childhood education, such as a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood development theories, pedagogy, and best practices.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in early childhood education.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Effective leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and inspire a team of educators.
Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working with Children Check or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain).

£27,400.00-£29,000.00 per year
