Description

The Community Dietetic office requires a secretary to assist in providing a comprehensive administrative service for the community team in a timely and efficient manner.


Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

  • To provide administrative and secretarial support for the Dietetic Department
  • To act as first point of contact within the Department
  • To provide typing service for correspondence
  • To deal with referrals and waiting lists in line with Department guidelines to ensure that appointments are offered as quickly as possible and when necessary, refer to clinical staff in order to prioritise.
  • To call and prepare notes for clinics, as required

  • The key responsibilities of this role are the effective and efficient management of specific departmental and patient administration systems, ensuring strict adherence and compliance to all Trust Policies and procedures
