This role will provide Commercial support in respect of the diverse functions and duties of the Sales and Business Process (BP) teams in Bath, adopting and developing a number of formal processes to define and regulate the commercial activity of the business.


Client Details
Our client is an international manufacturer providing a unique product to customers across the globe.

They are now looking for a Commercial Executive to join their team in Bath, analysing deals and contracts to benefit the business in the long run.


Description
Key duties and responsibilities for this Commercial Executive role include

  • Establish and manage the company's commercial standards and processes
  • Work with the Sales and BP team to provide commercial and contractual management of key customer facing opportunities
  • Supports commercial negotiations with customers when required balanced against risk and return and against customer requirements, with the aim of achieving a mutually beneficial agreement so far as possible.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for legal / commercial matters and having the acumen to make recommendations to the Sales Director (and Managing Director where appropriate) when external legal advice is appropriate.
  • Support the internal purchasing teams to negotiate commercial robust contractual terms.
  • Draft customer sales agreements based on company templates and Terms and Conditions
  • Guides stakeholders in understanding of what our contractual commitments are anticipated to be and whether the company can comply with them
  • Manages inlife contracts and any disputes arising from a Commercial perspective, escalating to the Sales Director (and Managing Director where appropriate).
  • Support the Business Process team to respond to requests for quotation
  • Manage the issuance of complex bids and tenders, utilising the expertise of a crossfunctional team to prepare the response.
  • Manage the established process for thirdparty partners' (TPP) due diligence, contracting and training.
  • Liaise with external agencies in respect of timely provision of Financial Guarantees such as Bid and Performance bonds as required
  • Providing timely escalation to Sales Director and Managing Director as required.

Profile
The skills and experience required to succeed as Commercial Executive

  • Previous experience of working in a commercial function in a B2B service environment
  • Must be versatile, with a high level of flexibility and selfmotivation, able to initiate and drive work and projects as well as react to requests for assistance, balancing competing requirements effectively.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Must be highly numerate and literate
  • Highly structured and analytical with an eye for detail
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and respond to new queries confidently
  • Process driven
