Graduate Trainee Accountant - Leeds

Salary - £21,000 per annum plus study support package

Hours - 36 hours per week, worked as follows: Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.15pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break, Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Holiday - 20 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days), plus your birthday day off

We have an exciting role for a
Graduate Trainee Accountant in our Leeds office.

A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career in accountancy, working towards an internationally recognised qualification (ICAEW Chartered Accountant - ACA) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm in Leeds.

You will join a dynamic audit team with a high quality client base and rapidly gain responsibility whilst at the same time completing your accounting qualification with us.

You will work from our offices in central Leeds and also visit client sites servicing some of Yorkshire's leading SME businesses.

Your apprenticeship will comprise the level 7 ICAEW Chartered Accountant - ACA qualification. We provide you with meaningful support as you undertake your exam training and the exams themselves.

Whilst we want you to progress rapidly in your career, equally we will only enter you for exams when you are properly prepared.

About you
- strong GCSE results in both Maths and English, grade 4 or above

A levels (C and above) or equivalent

- a first or second class degree
- personable, hard-working and a good team player
- enthusiastic and hard working
- great communication skills
- basic Excel skills is advantageous
- you need to have access to a car and hold a current UK driving license (or be working towards this).
- you need to have a current right to work in the UK
