Zopa is one of the largest, fastest scaling and most innovative consumer lenders in the UK.


In recent years, we've been pushing to diversify the distribution of our acquisition channels, moving away from relying on partnerships with price aggregators and exploring opportunities to embed Zopa's products with other exciting brands to enhance their customer journeys.


We are on the lookout for a Head of Partnerships to own and drive the embedded finance and partnerships strategy across our lending products - notably our UPL and Credit Card products.


  • This role will bridge the gap between B2B partnerships and product as you work to identify, target and convince potential partner brands of the value of embedding Zopa's lending products into their business.

A day in the life:


  • Develop the partnerships and embedded finance strategy for our lending products
  • Develop and execute 'go to market' strategies that grow our partnerships as fast as possible
  • Have a strong commercial capability and be responsible for managing commercial and legal negotiations with bank clients.
  • Be comfortable talking potential partners through the highlevel steps to integrate Zopa's lending products into their customer experiences.
  • Be the voice of the client in internal product discussions. You will collaborate closely with our internal product teams, sharing valuable client insight (based on your conversations with prospects) to guide our product roadmap.
  • Managing simultaneous conversations with an array of stakeholders, internal and external, across long and short sales cycle deals. Invest and nurture these relationships to effect influence and create long term value for all parties

About you:


  • You have experience developing and executing partnership strategies working at or with financial institutions, banking partners or technology companies.
  • You have strong product instincts. You have experience working with product teams shaping innovative new product experiences and go to market models.
  • You're experienced in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across a range of levels both internally and externally.
  • You have strong commercial and negotiation skills, you're able to drive complex negotiations to completion
  • You're logical and data literate. You see connecting data as a crucial part of decisionmaking, but are not afraid to voice your instinct.
  • You're technically literate. You love understanding clients' products and businesses and you're able to communicate
  • You enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty. You can work autonomously delivering results under pressure in a fastpaced company.
