Jackson Hogg are looking to recruit a Reward and HRIS Specialist for a fantastic client based in Teesside.
Key Characteristics:
Reward & HRIS Specialist:
Responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of global employee benefit programs hosted on a variety of cloud-based platforms.
Acts as the first point of contact for pay and benefit queries within the group, managing remuneration practices in line with Group policy/guidance.
Representative Activities:
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- (Co)Develops programs, processes and guidelines for day-to-day R&B activities within each country in line with the overall Group R&B strategic framework. Supports the development of reward policies.
- This may include job evaluation and classification; salary administration; incentive plans; employee benefits (such as health, insurance, perquisites); expatriate compensation; salary packaging/exchange; retirement, pension and superannuation plans.
- Supports relevant R&B activities(s) in accordance with established policies so that employees receive the appropriate R&B for their position.
- Supports and executes operational R&B processes (annual pay review & incentive plans, benefit renewals etc.) and contributes to effective governance processes in assigned functional area(s) as well as costcontrol management.
- Provide indepth insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of regular and ad hoc reports; and/or analyses enables management and/or other stakeholders to make timely decisions and to determine or adjust strategy.
- Explains complex issues and provides advice to employees on their compensation, benefits or global mobility packages as well as to businesses and senior managers.
- Plans and manages assigned portfolio of clearly defined projects and ensures execution and delivery supporting business needs.
- Implements and/or optimises work processes, techniques and systems to deliver more effective R&B practices.
- Recommends new and/or improved employee R&B plans for relevant country/region within appropriate costing levels
- Ensures appropriate governance of the job evaluation system for relevant country/region so that the company maintains a robust job classification system that supports leading people processes.
- Ensures compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit programs and prepares and files required legal reports for relevant country/region.
Planning, Organizing and Collaboration:
- Undertakes regular monthly, quarterly and yearly pay, incentive and benefit renewal activities but with an overall planning horizon of typically up to 12 months+.
- Cooperates within own functional discipline and also has multiple interfaces with other disciplines/parties.
- Collects, selects and interprets external and internal data, information and developments to deliver solutions for specific business cases or questions.
- Analyses and evaluates internal and external market data (via R&B surveys) to ensure that the company remains competitive externally in their R&B offerings.
- Will also interact with brokers, trustees, and legal advisors as appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Qualifications/Experience:
- A university degree with relevant experience. Likely to have an HR, Finance or Business qualification.
- Excellent IT & analytical skills
- Word, Powerpoint and confident user of Excel including data visualisation tools; able to analyse and interpret large volumes of global data
- Excellent communication skills, allowing effective communication across different cultures in the business at all levels of the organisation and with external consultancies.
- Demonstrates good understanding of the position requirements and previous exposure to a range of different R&B disciplines (e.g. Pay, Benefits, Reward, Mobility); or indepth expertise in one specialism.
- Professional with broad experience in own field of expertise requiring a command of diverse internal and external practices, theories and concepts.
